A Newark man has already been indicted on five counts of trafficking in crack cocaine, but now he is accused of threatening a witness in the case.
23-year-old Raymond Pendleton has been charged with intimidation and his bond was set at $200,000.
Pendleton was arrested on Monday, nearly 15 minutes after he allegedly went to the victim’s home and told him that he would kill him and his family if he testified.
Pendleton has also been indicted on a charge of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.
If he is convicted on that charge, he will receive a mandatory prison sentence of 10-years.
