Authorities have received permission to search a car they believe was involved in a fatal hit-skip accident in Etna Township last week.

46-year-old Roberta Hay of Etna was hit and killed while she was walking on US Route 40 near State Route 310 around 2:30 a.m. July 8th.

The State Patrol found the 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera in a garage on Cottingham Road in Reynoldsburg last Thursday.

Police are looking for DNA evidence linking the vehicle and its driver to the crash.

Officials are also looking for proof that alcohol consumption was involved.

No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
