Sheriff David Barber has announced former Deputy Dan Selby of Mount Vernon will be rejoining the office as the new accreditation manager and community relations officer.
Selby first joined the sheriff's office in 2001 before leaving in January of this year.
He had been working in law enforcement in Franklin County.
In addition to his duties as accreditation manager, Selby will be responsible for neighborhood watch, crime prevention, bicycle safety and public education programs and services.
