Pataskala residents will have to the chance to vote on whether they should have a property maintenance code this November.

The referendum comes after over 800 valid signatures were collected to put the issue on the ballot.

The code was adopted in June after council approved 10 amendments with several council members dissenting on different amendments.

Councilmen Bernard Brush and Larry Meade voted against the ordinance as amended.

Council has until August 21st to formally file the issue with the Licking County Board of Elections to put it on the November 4th ballot.
