News Stories email:news@wclt.com Some public service items qualify as news events. Use the following checklist. • Information - Is this something our listeners don't know? • Timeliness - Does it relate to a season or schedule far enough in advance so that people can take advantage of it? • Significance - Will it affect the lives of listeners? •Scope - Does it have impact on the majority of the community? • Interest - Does it have the ability to attract and hold the public's interest? • Human Interest - Is it relevant on a personal level to many people in the community? If you believe your information meets these qualifications, write a news release and submit it to our News Department.
